Using Ask the manual

Ask the manual answers questions in your own words from this manual. Open it from the Ask page, from the Ask button at the bottom right of any page, or by pressing ?.

How it answers​

  1. It searches every page of this edition of the manual for the passages that best match your question (and your previous question, so follow-ups work). The page you are reading is passed along as context.
  2. Depending on how this manual is hosted, it then either quotes the most relevant passages, or has an AI assistant write an answer from them. The note under the question box tells you which.
  3. Every answer lists its sources. Numbers like [2] in an answer link to the page that says it.

When this manual is connected to IDM, the assistant also has the live system status, so it can tell you whether IDM is working right now.

If the manual does not cover your question, it says so and points you to Contact. It does not make up policies, prices or procedures.

Good questions​

  • Use the words you see on screen: What does "In a shared delivery queue" mean?
  • Paste an error code: What does PARTNER_BLOCKED mean?
  • Ask about a step: How do I hand over to another rider?
  • Follow up: And what if they never claim it? It remembers the last few questions in the conversation.

What it cannot do​

  • It cannot see or change your deliveries, account or payments. To follow a delivery, use Track a delivery, which reads the live status from IDM directly and explains it.
  • It does not know prices for a specific trip. Only a quote from IDM gives a price.
  • It cannot contact anyone for you.

Your privacy​

  • Do not type passwords, one-time codes, card details or API secrets.
  • Phone numbers, email addresses, delivery and tracking links, six-digit codes and credential-like strings are removed from your questions before they reach the assistant.
  • Tracking lookups are answered by IDM itself and never passed to the assistant.
  • Questions are not stored with your name. If you rate an answer, only the rating and the question go to the manual's maintainers.
